The atmosphere was delightful with a warm
Fireplace that complemented the cozy interior. The friendly staff made me feel welcome, although the dining experience had some inconsistencies in menu options. it was a good stay with a touch of rustic charm.

The pub offers a wide selection of local ales.
My experience was quite frustrating. Upon arrival, the staff seemed disorganized and took a long time to check us in. The noise from the toilet was unbearable, disrupting our sleep during the night. the car park was too small, leaving us with no other choice but to find parking on a hill.

Couple looking for a cozy night, find it here
I gotta tell ya, the atmosphere in the pub was real nice, charming locals with their dogs enjoying pints outside. The meal we had, a slow baked belly pork and homemade chips, was succulent, just like your mom's cooking. I could go on about that sticky toffee pudding but man, let’s just say it stole the show!
Sure, it wasn’t exactly cheap, but honestly, it was worth it for the experience.

We had a lovely stay with fantastic food, especially the generous beef curry! The late-night band was a bit loud, but the atmosphere was worth it.

Had a solid stay at The Old Poets' Corner. The Standard Double Room felt cozy and comfortable, with a flat-screen TV and electric kettle. I loved the atmosphere in the pub, especially the warm vibe and lovely historical surroundings. Staff showed a real willingness to help, especially when the obliging chef made us dinner after the kitchen closed. That's top-notch service! the bathroom noise from the pump disrupts sleep at night and could be addressed. the car park is tiny, which made finding a spot a bit of a squeeze. I enjoyed the charm and local ales, but those few issues could use some attention.
